Funding
9 month, 2 years and 3 & 4 year old working funded hours.
From September 2025 all eligible funding streams will be entitled to 30 hr funding over 38 weeks of the year.
To apply for working funding you must meet the following criteria:

Two parent family each person must earn the equivalent of 16hrs at minimum wage (£195.36 per week)

In a single parent family they must earn the equivalent of 16hrs at minimum wage (£195.36 per week)

If you earn over £100,000 a year you will not be entitled to claim the working family funding.

Additional Service Charges
Please note that the funded hours are provided exclusively to cover the education of your child. The funding does not extend to cover additional services such as food, nappies, wipes, or other consumables provided by the nursery.
For all flexible funded options we charge an additional service charge of £7.50 for an 8-1/1-6 session and £15.00 for an 8-6 session.
The additional service charge covers:

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Care package which includes wipes, nappies, cream, sanitiser, washing of bedding, disposal of nappies and formula milk for under 12 month old children.

Additional services which includes all arts and craft above the basic EYFS provision, busy bags, cooking club, music teacher, Tapestry, Babys Days, ink, printer paper, celebrations throughout the year, visit from Santa, parent meetings once a term and a learning journal for you to download and keep when your child finishes their education at Little Whits Nursery.
Free Sessions
The government requires that funded hours are delivered at no cost to parents at the point of entry. If parents wish to access a completely free placement, the funded hours must be used between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, during term time only. Availability of these hours is limited, and once the allocation is full, parents will be placed on a waiting list.
