Pre-school Room

The pre-school room is for children aged 3-5 years. We work on a 1 adult to 8 children ratio.

The pre-school room is an educationally stimulating environment that will help your child prepare for and excel in primary school. We continue to use the Early Years Foundation Stage which will encourage the children to develop all the skills and knowledge needed for the next stage in their learning journey.

Each key person will provide a learning programme through close observations, group activities and focused one to one tasks. The children will have access to an indoor and outdoor learning environment.

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours universal funded hours a week based on a term time only contract of 38 weeks a year. You can also have an all-year-round contract that entitles you to a stretched offer of 11 hours a week. Any additional hours are charged at our hourly rate of £7.00 an hour. Some eligible families may be able to claim an additional 15 hours funded hours/11 hours stretched.

The eligibility criteria for the additional funded hours is:

Both parents must be working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family)
Each parent must earn on average a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at national minimum wage and less than £100,000 a year.

For parents that are needing additional hours over and above their funded hours the prices are inclusive of food.

8-1 or 1-6 session £35.00

Full day 8-6 session £70.00

There is a minimum of 4 sessions a week.

Invoices are paid monthly in advance. All charges must be cleared by the 1st of the month.

Fees are calculated as the daily rate for agreed sessions x the number of days in the month.

We charge a £200 deposit to secure your child’s place. This is returned when your child leaves the setting as long as the four weeks’ notice period has been adhered to.

For children in receipt of funded hours you have the choice of providing all food and drink for your child, and if still needed, nappies and wipes or you can choose to pay a charge of £5.00 for an am or pm session or £10.00 for an all-day session to cover all the listed items.
